Lebron and Cris Bosh headed to
Bulls..
If true the Bulls are back with a four man nucleus of LeBron, Bosh, Joakim Noah and outstanding point guard Derrick Rose. They will be capped out so they are going to have to scrounge what they can for a 2 guard while Bosh and Noah handle the 1 and 2 spots and Lebron the 3 spot and Rose at the point. The Bulls traded away steady and reliable shooting guard Kirk Hinrich and No. 17 draft pick Kevin Seraphin to Washington for a future 2nd round draft pick. Great deal for the Wizards but it proves the Bulls are clearing the way for some big contracts. Lebron is now a huge favorite to end up a Bull and Bosh is at least a pick em to follow suit.
Luol Deng has to go for cap space if they want Bosh. A trade would be in order, but it will be difficult to move Deng because of the $51 million remaining on his contract. Atlanta 2 guard Joe Johnson wants to come to the Bulls but he is no bargain as far as cap space goes as he is making similar bucks as the departed Hinrich. He would be the answer though for a better outside shooting two guard, Johnson averaged 21.3 points last year, his fifth straight season of at least 20 per game, and shot 45.8 percent from the field for the Hawks..
If the Bulls can figure a way to squeeze LeBron, Bosh, Noah, Rose and Johnson under the cap while dumping Deng somehow along with the promising PF Taj Gibson they would be an instant favorite to reach the NBA Finals next May/June. Basically a 5 man team but those five are one hell of a group.
The bench will be populated with young low paid players willing to play roles for the league minimum or a shade more or maybe an aging but still capable vet will settle for bargain basement dollars in order to have a shot at a ring.
